Cinnamon Swirls :)

Originally the cereal featured plain squares but currently features an artificial "cinnamon swirl" coloration in each piece.  Starting in 1987 there were three animated bakers as the mascots, none of which were originally named but the ones with Wendell are sometimes incorrectly credited as Bob and Quello.  According to an inquiry response from General Mills Customer Service:” this little guy was a cute baker complete with a chef hat and apron.  Wendell was the only baker that was named, and due to consumer feedback, we chose to feature him as the "Cinnamon Toast Baker" where he has remained in this title role since 1991."

Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs:)

Cocoa Puffs is a brand of chocolate-flavored puffed grain breakfast cereal manufactured by General Mills. [1] Introduced in 1958, the cereal consists of small spheres of corn, oats and rice that have been flavored with chocolate.  Essentially, Cocoa Puffs are Kix cereal with added chocolate flavoring.  (Similarly, Trix was, for most of its existence, Kix plus fruit flavoring and coloring.) Kix cereal is produced at the same factories as Cocoa Puffs, but differs in both density and circumference.  The mascot of Cocoa Puffs is Sonny the Cuckoo Bird, whose catchphrase is "cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs".  Sonny was originally dark brown but has since become orange.  He wore a striped pink and white shirt, but this has been removed since 1993.

Silly Rabbit!

The cereal was first introduced to stores in 1954. Joe Harris created the Trix Rabbit, an anthropomorphic cartoon rabbit character; in Trix animated television commercials, this rabbit (voiced by Mort Marshall and later Russell Horton[2]) would keep trying to trick kids into giving him a bowl of Trix cereal, but he would be discovered every time, and the kids would say, "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!"  After the success of the first commercial, the Trix brand soon became one of General Mills' best sellers.  Much like Warner Brothers' Wile E. Coyote, the Trix Rabbit's constant struggle to obtain the unobtainable elicits a degree of sympathy from many viewers.  Little did Harris know that what began as a simple marketing ploy became a revolution in how cereal was marketed?
